This communication came following a meeting between President Trump and the Kenyan President on February 6, 2020 at the White House. The UK moved closer to signing a sixth trade deal in Africa today (3 November) as negotiations for a trade deal with Kenya are completed. The agreement will ensure that all companies operating in Kenya, including UK companies, can continue to benefit from duty-free access when exporting products such as vegetables and flowers to their customers in the UK. Trade Agreement: The United States signed Trade and Investment Framework Agreements (TIFA) with the East African Community (EAC) in 2008 and with the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) in 2001. Kenya is a member of both regional organizations.
